We are pleased to announce that following the decision of 17th November 2017 of the Index Copernicus International Scientific Evaluation Team, the publishing quality of the Scientific Journals of the Maritime University of Szczecin has been evaluated as higher which is expressed by the ICV 2016 index of 90.35.
On 2nd October, students of the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering from Yacht Port Operation specialization under the supervision of Aleksandra Łapko, PhD. Eng. visited the yacht port - Pogoń Marina.
We are glad to inform that Maritime University has signed the Agreement on Strategic Partner Cooperation with Swiss Cert sp. z o.o.
Last October we informed that the Scientific Journals of the Maritime University of Szczecin was included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).

In the period 12 – 13.07.2017, as a part of the project South Coast Baltic, a survey was conducted among sailors in selected yacht ports in Germany, Poland, Denmark and Lithuania. The aim of the study was to learn about the preferences of sailors as regards selecting sailing routes and the activities undertaken in the visited towns.

On 6th July 2017, Szczecin branch of the Polish Association for Production Management held a meeting to elect new board of the PAPM Szczecin unit.

The Maritime University of Szczecin and the West Pomeranian Sailing Trail have signed a letter of intent as regards cooperation. The common ground is the specialisation of Yacht Port Operation offered by the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering, which is unique in Poland.

We hereby inform that the employee of our Institute, Ryszard Buczkowski, with the decision of the President of the Republic of Poland of 2nd December 2016, obtained the scientific title of the professor of technical sciences (discipline mechanics). The applying unit was the Institute of Fundamental Technical Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. The nomination was handed in on 11th January 2017.

In the period from 29th January to 4th February, the 4th meeting of the Sub-Committee of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) for Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping (HTW) was held in London. A representative of the Polish delegation in the work of this Sub-Committee was the Director of the Institute of  Marine Technologies, Professor Janusz Uriasz.

"Chemical variations" and "Commodity Science Variations" are titles of classes organised at the Faculty of Economics and Transport Engineering especially for children from Primary School No. 61 in Szczecin.
Students from School Complex No. 1 in Stargard have spent the whole day visiting the Maritime University of Szczecin. They visited all faculties and the vessel.
